Quote from The Very End :Great advices here, thanks a lot! Truth be told I'm never really thought mouch of programming, allways belived I don't have the skillset to be good at it. I'm not too good in math for example, I'm better in language studies than I'm in math. Physics I never had on school, but don't know if that is a thing that is needed to be in-the-zone?
And, for you people that do programming / scripting for a living, is it fun / needed in future jobs in IT?

jkat - what are the shortenings for? Smile I am quite god damn horrible at creating things, but I would like learning it. Creating things is a dream of mine (be it modding, creating things with the propper tools, 3D modeeling and such), but again I'm not sure if I got the right skillset for it. From what I'v understood the school starts at absolutely 0 skill start, and then you progress over the 3 years and chose your branch of specilization on the later years.

Jakg - so what does a software engineer actually do? Is it possible to be a "less" good one, aka bachelor degree in IT instead of engineer degree?

Racer X NZ - Thanks, I'll see if I can find this William Gibson, guess it's in book form or online reading? Also, don't you think local knowlege and language will be important in the future? Sure, most things can be fixed online, but some matters will be needed to sort out on the companies physical adresses by humans that speaks something else than east europeen language or chineeze (wrong spelled)?

Hi. Unfortunately, I don't know squat about programming, but I do know a little about the IT industry itself.
Here? Basic programmers and web designers are a dime a dozen.
My son does coding, development and other crap for a video game controller company. He does OK. He barely finished High School and works with people that look like Big Bang Theory rejects.
But one thing of advice I can give. Don't get your education just to get a job. Get it for yourself.
You want to learn how to code and all that? Great. But if you think by going to school and learning all that, just so you can get a job, it probably won't turn out as well.
I imagine if you aimed for a certain industry, Like Bio-engineering or geophysical or banking or whatever and tailored your skills to fit that industry as opposed to just being an all around programming guru, you'd do better that way.

My job.... It technically requires TWO degrees and being a licensed structural engineer would help.
I don't have any of that. I also barely finished high school and LOL I'm one of the top people in my field.
Funny thing is, making all those skins back in the day for LFS cars really boosted my career and gave me an edge against my educated competition.

As far as careers go... engineering. Structural, software, mechanical, civil. It doesn't matter. Pick one. If you can wrap your programming/coding skills around one of those, you'll do just fine

The college education racket in this country sucks. And I can't stand how those over edumicated @ssholes screwed over people in this country with Intellectual extortion. I can go on for days about it. So it's kinda hard for me to supportive of people wanting to go one of those places.
I understand the need for higher education. But when that industry worked itself into a position to where you have to go through it to get anywhere job-wise, where 20% of your tuition goes to paying a basketball coach, where with tuition being so expensive you better pray you get a decent job or you'll be in college loan debt for life. Yeah. Higher education (?) here sucks.

Uhhh... anyways good luck.

My gf's dad happens to be president of a well known bikie chapter in NZ, and trust me... the asian lads are (usually)not the problem for buying/selling/trafficking/producing drugs hahaha

infact you'll tend to find they're usually just low down pawns/drugrunners that get caught, i gaurentee they would be running them for someone else.

So, how come at least 7 of the 9 are 'misc asian' nationality ? Their not a problem here, just another group to do business with, at least in this bit of NZ..

Because they're just pawns, i gaurentee the ones caught are not the ones running the show...

MC's have feeder gangs, basically small gangs of wannabe bikies that run drugs for them so the big boys don't get caught. 99.99% chance they were trafficking it for someone else.

"MC's have feeder gangs, basically small gangs of wannabe bikies that run drugs for them so the big boys don't get caught. 99.99% chance they were trafficking it for someone else."
I call them little league teams.
Yeah. you live in Bandido land too. Having grown up in Vato-land, I know all I need to know about gangs.
To hell with "La vida".
These 1 percenters are a bunch of morons. What happened to Freedom? Join one of those "clubs" and it goes away. What bike you ride, what you can wear - even when and where you can ride are dictated to you. Yay FREEDOM!
Yeah, the bandidos and one of their little league teams bought out a bar I used to go to. You know, they're cool with me, but I keep them at arm's length. I ride a bike to save gas, not to make a fashion statement. Besides, I won't get a Harley. Since my Valkyrie is 100% American, it counts.... but so what?
So Klutch. You live in a gun grabbing country. A nice gun free country. How much does one go for over there? Semi auto - 9mm to .40 S&W.

When I was real little, sometimes my Dad would takes us with him to his friend's house. After a while these three guys would show up on bikes. We were little kids and didn't know what was happening. but these three guys would play with us and were really nice. We thought they were pirates. They were Bandidos and it was a dope deal going on.

OH!!! Speaking of gangs, drugs and gunplay, we had some of that over here yesterday!
Long story.... chased after this clown he went through my neighbor's yard, hopped the back fence into the neighbor's yard on the other side of him, then jumped the fence into the backyard of the house behind them on the next street over. He broke into somebody's car down the street from us. He walked up to our porch and asked two friends of my son if we had a phone charger he could use. Who the hell does that? I mean a stranger at random? They tell the dude no and already wonder WTF. Well one of them comes in the house to tell us and the guy runs across the front yard to the neighbor's house. about the time the guy's running through my neighbor's yard and I'm running out the house and into my backyard (had no clue where the dude went. They just saw him run across the front of the house and hand a sharp left. We didn't know which yard or where he was). Anyways that's when this very pissed off guy pulls up in a car wanting to know if we saw a guy that looked just like the guy we were chasing. There has been an up tick in home invasions and robberies in our area. We're not the house to do that with.

A: Not being racist but this is usually people from a major Asian country that shall remain nameless but we (NZ) have arrested a large number of people from this country for identical crimes. We're considered to be an easy entry to Aust. I think we showed the French that isn't the case but perhaps some people are a bit slow on the uptake.

B: Aliens ......

I really don't think that Scrawen is an option !

And your last option ? Was this a spelling mistake or is Google not performing for me ?

If it's an poll on my views then I'll answer just to keep people happy, (or more likely, unhappy) never believe anything I say on anything. Seriously, just think for yourselves and never automatically believe anything anyone tells you without actually investigating the facts for yourselves.
Not that that's likely to happen Smile

Edit: After reading up on this, just read the article and that will tell you who has been arrested and is facing charges on this matter Smile
Innocent till proven guilty etc......

First Off, BMXer (Do they still race Old school BMX?) You left out a few names....
Yeah. I'd tell you but then you'd know too much and we all know how that turns out.

@Racer X.
They wouldn't be there if there wasn't a market for them. It's how that works. Since you're in New Zealand, I'll go out on a limb and say your brain dead pro drug warriors pulled a knee jerk legislation that made it hard for native tweakers to get the precursor chemicals. OK so all you did was put some locals out of work and into something else. Enter these guys. They got the connections, the know how and now thanks to your government, the customer base. Wait til they figure out how un-armed y'all are. I don't see the locals getting it back. And the new guys ain't going to give up that business quietly.
I know this cause they did that here. Overnight, the morons gave the cartels a few billion dollar business.
The speed didn't go away. Just the money. And if they ain't pumping their money into cartel banks, they're cooking it up in Wal Marts. Yet, try to get a couple of anti-allergy medications for more than one person, for legitimate reasons.

Yeah, you gotta love the drug war.

Oh well. Just be careful of Scawen coming to your door, disguised as a demo user selling cookies for the Illuminati

Quote from lap traffic nz :I'd recommend bow hunting, I haven't fired a rifle in almost 15 years now. It's so much more visceral when you are stalking your prey, getting a lot closer than would using a boom stick.

I forgot to add, you can fish with a bow as well, only had the opportunity to try it once, but it's rather fun being able to selectively target a specific fish you have sighted.

uh.... No thanks. Bow hunting takes a special kind of dedication. I'm not dedicated enough to put on scent neutralizer aka deer pee. And stand motionless in a tree for hours. Yeah. Bow hunting's a pretty rough business. Fishing? LOLOL you can't see in the water around here. and the fresh water fish all hang out in weeds. You can fish for alligator gar in some rivers and lakes, but for the most part the water here is pretty murky. I wouldn't mind bow fishing, but not around here. Off shore maybe?
ROFL DUCK HUNTING!

I have a crossbow. It needs to be redone though. In Texas the ONLY way you can legally hunt with a cross-bow is if you only have the use of one arm. How the hell does that work? I heard they changed the laws some, but not much. I wouldn't hunt deer or hogs with it anyways. It has plenty of punch at the start but after twenty yards, the bolt starts to drop fast.
Hunting/Fishing?

Hello.... Anyone do these?
I like to fish, preferably salt water. I've only been offshore once. Mostly I wade or (starting to) kayak fish along the the coast or in brackish areas where the bayous feed into the bay or Gulf of Mexico. The primary fish are red drum, speckeled trout and flounder. There are other species too, but those are the three main ones fished for. And if you really really want, sharks. I don't really know much about the fresh water fishing here.
Hunting.... the last time I did that was in 1989. I remember it cause the weather was zero degrees Fahrenheit. Which is horrifically cold in an area where the winter days rarely reach zero Celsius.
Well my wife inherited a big bit of land up in East Texas in the middle of Davy Crockett Forest. It looks like a jungle. They have an exploding deer population and of course, feral hogs. I dunno. Never really cared for hunting the way most people do around here. They plant a few oats or put up a feeder, sit in a box and shoot the deer when it gets close to the food. Feral hogs are hunted all sorts of ways, but as they are more of a nuisance instead of a game animal, most people trap them in pens. As far as hunting goes, there's really not a lot of animal species you can hunt in Texas. I use .30-30's. Ones a Winchester Saddleman's carbine (think John Wayne gun) the other a Marlin with a 3 x 9 zoom red field scope that cost more than the gun. I think this time around, I try and get a large caliber air rifle.
I imagine in Europe air rifles and maybe black powder shot are popular? 30.06 is probably the most popular here. Canada? LOL 20mm anti-tank guns. Then there's bow hunting. Anyone do that? I've seen on some hog hunting forums Aussies hunting them with spears... I like being an equal part of the food chain when I hunt too. That's why I wade fish (shark bait and jelly fish magnet). But a spear against a 150-200kg pig? With tusks? And a taste for meat too?
Hunting here, is stupidly expensive unless you own land. I never had the time or the money to hunt til recently. Doing so now, if successful, will be cheaper than going to the grocery store. So anyone that hunts have any insights or advice, it would be greatly appreciated Smile
But for now, I'm focusing on fishing. Or TRY to focus.... Working sucks. There's a place I want to try that really looks promising.

Quote from Racer X NZ :"So far, one of the government’s cover stories is that (a) our Pacific friends don’t mind and (b) the New Zealand public don’t care.
All praise then to last night’s edition of RNZ’s Dateline Pacific programme, for showing how royally pissed off the actual officials who have been spied on are still feeling."

We still have a National Broadcaster that can be honest,
Thankfully we have not given that up yet !.

"On Thursday, the Brazilian Department for External Relation confirmed New Zealand Ambassador Caroline Bilkey was hauled in by their Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs for a "please explain".

"The Brazilian Government has learned with surprise of media reports indicating that electronic mail on the candidacy of Ambassador Roberto Carvalho de Azevedo for the post of Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) have been the subject of a violation by the Government New Zealand.

"The Brazilian government expressed its determination to see the issue more fully worked out within the framework of the friendship that has always existed in relations between the two countries," the department said in a translated statement."

The same programme suggests why Pacific leaders have been relatively low key so far in their response: their dependency on aid from New Zealand means that Pacific nations have to mute their displeasure, and pick their fights carefully. The Pacific Forum later this year may well be the occasion when these issues get fully aired."
http://gordoncampbell.scoop.co.nz/2015/03/24/gordon-campbell-on-pacific-spying/

Yeah, well, thanks to our current Govt decisions, we now have this to sort out for the next 20/30 years. Because, strangely enough, people remember being shat on for a long time. And, this is our home.

But, hey, does the US care ?, are they going to apologise ?, or, from the NZ point of view. WTF are we doing pulling a train for the US global domination game ???????

And why are we still prostituting ourselves for the US Pimp-master ?????

Our US of War beloved forum members, please explain why we (NZ) should continue to do this for your banker asses.......

"In an ideal world, the June review of the security services would result in the formation of a properly independent oversight body to rein in the political abuse of these agencies. A representative committee of Parliament drawn from all parties and armed with investigative teeth – and to which the spy services must annually report, in public hearings – is what is needed. Is that likely to happen ? Hardly. Not when we have a government that seems quite happy to use the powers of the Nanny State for its own party political ends. This is an occasion where an Act Party that really believed in individual rights could make a difference – and could justify its existence as something more than a National Party doormat. Fat chance of any such principled action from David Seymour, though."

WW III
It's not going to play out like you think.
When Hillary becomes your next president, all hell is going to break loose.
Isn't that sad? I don't have a clue who the PM of New Zealand is, yet you know exactly who I'm talking about.
I'm really afraid of what she's capable of if she gets the White House. The Clintons are big fans of Seize and Forfeiture laws and they hate the common man having a fire arm. Those psychotic Texas separatist groups are going to have a broad appeal and might even become a legitimate movement. As far as the rest of the planet goes, I see this woman using every world event, every war, disease or disaster as an object to exploit for personal gain more than anything else. Yeah, she'll make Putin look like Gandhi.
Venezuela's going to collapse during her watch and I'm pretty sure Columbia is going to get dragged into that mess too. Illegal immigration will hit Latin America, the US, Mexico and Canada like a tsunami.
You may think that doesn't mean a thing to you. Guess again. We don't have an illegal immigration problem like the rest of the western nations. Nah. We're way past that. We have a demographic group of illegal immigrants, so much so, they're being marketed to by various businesses. If the balance of illegal immigrants goes too much one way or the other (yeah we NEED illegal aliens) it will have a drastic effect on our economy. There's a lot of little kids that make American flags in countries that hates us that need that money coming in. With Clinton domestic Policies, wars in South America and the inevitable economic fall out from plunging oil prices and rising obamacare costs are going to make things a little more than jittery in world markets. Then there's no telling how many half-baked militant groups and terror cells that are going to mushroom. Not just Islamo-fascists or domestic right-wing nut cases, but more localized nationalist groups all over the planet. I damned sure don't see any massive breakthrough as far as the Middle East goes. In fact, I see Israel going off like a loose cannon. Iran ramping up it's efforts with proxy jihadis and quite possibly a serious insurrection happening in Saudi Arabia while at the same time that country decides to flex it's muscle in the region. Euroland? I see a lot of Greece sequels...
Ever see Grease II as a kid? And you admit it?
Yeah. Things are going to suck.

You know cousin... that old Confucius curse about living in interesting times?
We live in a world where we have to fear the cops more than the criminals, fear the doctors more than the disease and fear the pilots more than we do the terrorists.
Think he was talking about the present day?
One of the funny things about all this hyperspying. It leads to less intelligence. Think about it. You only have x amount of people at any given time able to access incoming intelligence reports. Now really cram that workload with this crap. There is so much info that they are overwhelmed. You know that? OK so they find some clown and make an example of them or they actually do get lucky once in a while and get a real bad guy. That's all it is. There's no telling how much info slides by because it's bundled with facebook posts of Aunt Ted's Brazillian wax and the guy supposedly scanning for this stuff is updating HIS profile on twitter - claiming to be a super spy to impress the girls.
You work for yourself, right? You have a set range of clientele that you can work comfortably with. LOL knowing you it's a preset range....
Anyways, think of having your customers increase a hundred fold, but you still make the same amount of money and you're not allowed to hire any help. What happens to the overall quality of your service if that happens? Now think about how bad that quality would suck if you were punching someone else's time clock and they slap you with that sort of work load without any bonus, raise or help to go with it.
It's kind of like Big brother decided to increase the size of his haystack to look for an even smaller needle.

I guess I'm lucky that way. The cruise terminal is only about 10 miles from the house. Most people that take cruises also have to get airfare. I think that's what makes it so expensive. For us, with my wife scanning online sites, the price is a lot cheaper than road trips or anything involving an airplane.

I learned how to do something on that cruise from one of the other passengers that I plan on doing in the next couple of weeks.... Make Pastrami.

One slight concern is that cable. Is that the throttle cable that was fitted to higher bars, or the clutch coming from the other side? Either way it looks much too long to be routed properly. I'd worry that it might catch on something, you should address that, it would also clean up the look a lot.

It is the original clutch cable, hasnt had any issues yet. But it's on it's way out anyway so the new one i get will be shorter

Please don't take any of this too serious. Instead, think of this as more of talk from "that one guy" You know that one guy. The one that always opens their mouth about how YOU should do stuff, yet really hasn't a clue about what they're talking about? Yeah, that guy. Hopefully, you don't have that big of a problem. But I wanna just play pretend with your bike.
What's the seat height on the bike when you sit on it? I know this is a small bike, but how big are you?
Meaning if you could lower it just a little... See your back fender and wheel? Unless it goes down a lot when you get on it. Also, scrap the front fender. Who cares about safety? We're trying to look cool here.
Besides it kills off some of the weight.
Word of warning. I've hit the back fender on my Suzuki after a more than a few bumps to crack it and the back end is stiff enough to may as well be a hard tail. And the battery is oh so conveniently located for easy access - under the swing arm, in front of the back tire. I can rebuild that damned bracket in my sleep.
Also, you know how I get my head lights at home improvement stores? If you go to the plumbing department, you can make a hyper charger for the bike for a couple of dollars - pounds, go to the lighting department to get stuff for the cone..... You'll wanna re jet... ROFL just jab an ice pick down the carb a couple of times, you'll be fine.....seriously, if you did go nuts and make a pvc charger, you'd want to re jet. and that's a pain. And if you were to rejet with an icepick, then that would mean you were huffing the matte black spray paint instead of painting the pipe.
Oh yeah, spokes....and if you get new tires, forget about performance, get something with a cool old school tread and raised white letters. And KEEP THE TANK! you've see one cafe racer with a bread boxtank, you've seen them all.

By the way, as soon as my real life settles down to a riot, I intend on working on the suzuki, like I keep claiming to do. All I really have time for is to pull her out in the drive way and crank it up and annoy the neighbors. I'll ride it around a the block or so a few times, but I don't have the time to do all the crap I want to do and have a hard time deciding on just what TO do, So if I get into it, I'll try to post progress and you can feel free to be "That guy". Only I've been afflicted with more than just one.

in fact.. you can start with the seat. At this point, I don't know if I'm going to replace the seat. After around a 100k (80ish?), my butt's kinda used to the shape, but it needs to be re upholstered again... I went with naugahyde as it deals with the elements pretty good and is cheaper and much better quality than the factory crap. I going back and forth between stingray and a Mexican blanket. I fantasize that I can actually do the Blanket myself. LOL I think I can I think I can I think I can... The Stingray? Not so much...

Yeah, customizing bikes.... The Harley guys got it so easy.
I need to post a picture of my brother's Sportster, The Notorious "Girl's bike"
I don't know why they call sportsters girls bikes. I heard a story that way back in the 1950's that they were marketed to women riders when they first came out. To be honest, the former owner of his bike IS a woman, but the bike got the name cause my daughter razzed him and called it a girl's bike and the name stuck. Yeah. What's funny about sportsters and women is almost all the female riders I know that ride harleys ride those massive mortgage glides. I only know of a couple of girls that ride sportsters.
Anyways, he doesn't have to go to home improvement stores to customize.
LOL The way he gets custom parts for that bike is almost as easy as going through a drive-thru.
Almost like Legos
It is a nice looking ride though If I ever get a picture of it, I'll post it or a link to it or something.

Quote from englishlord :It's quite silly reading good guy/bad guy arguments. People need to grow up. One corrupt thug Russian supporting oligarch was overthrown by another corrupt EU supporting thug oligarch. To say that the Russians aren't militarily involved in Ukraine is extremely naive and to say that this war is proof that now Russia will invade the rest of Eastern Europe is equally absurd.

"It's quite silly reading good guy/bad guy arguments. People need to grow up."
We have people like that all over here and they have that attitude about everything. The problem is, these mindless herds have become the majority and have decided to politicize everything. I call them vote drones.
They herded by one of the two major political parties that I like to call buckets of excrement. They hate that.

But your post hit the nail on the head as far as the Ukraine goes. The pathetic thing about the Ukrainians and their pro-Russian buddies is they are willing to kill each other in order to decide which group of criminals controls them. Yeah... this really ain't a "good guy vs bad guy" thing. It's more like Dumb and Dumber crossed with Apocalypse Now. Or what would happen if M-13 and the Crips decide to enter politics directly instead of just buying politicians.

I'm beginning to think the best solution for that region is to send IS over there. Them psychos show up and you'll see those little punks deciding to cooperate.
Oh wait these punks are wannabe gangbangers. Lemme send a couple a people over there I know so then those goof balls can truly understand what La vida loco is. It doesn't appear that either side of this conflict really wants a democratic government anyway. They seem to want to be told how to think. I guess it's easier that way. And the sad thing is that bit of lazy nastiness is happening all over the planet.

What do you intend on using the camera for? Told you it was a dumb question. See, I know two types that have HERO cameras. One has it cause it's a neat gadget. It helps them capture moments of their ride and stuff like that.
The other bunch? They're using it as some sort of security camera. Like they think it's handy to have in case of accidents or cops or something.
My wife wants to get one (first reason), but I figure for the most part all I'd get to record is my work commute. Who the hell wants to sit thru a hour and a half home movie of close-ups of various vehicle rear ends accompanied by the soundtrack of random cussing from an old biker?
Spring time in Scandinavia.... I've heard that your region is actually quite a bit warmer than what it would seem. Is that really true? Or do y'all say that to get people to move up there? I'm working on or supposed to be working on a plaque that's going to be mounted on the tree of a Triumph Bonneville. This bike is going to be raced at Pike's Peak this year. I know the owner, but I don't really know who is going to ride it. He's some former Superbike rider. Yeah, for an old 650, I understand it's pretty damned fast. I actually haven't been all that exposed to the bike yet, beyond the gas tank. The bike has a home-made tank on it that really looks good. It has a clear coated brushed finish. There's a little argument about placing knee pads in the cut-aways, but the owner has the final say. I'll try to get a photo of the bike.

Putin is the prime example of scum and corruption, you ass clown.

Isn't it amazing how propoganda can alter peoples thinking, BMX is a prime example. Let's use Gallup polls as the proof of how this works.

In 2011, remember 2011 ? It was 4 years ago Smile, in 2011 only 3% of Americans answered “Russia” when asked “What country anywhere in the world do you consider to be the United States’ greatest enemy?”
In 2012 this was down to 2%

Ok, now lets get the US of A's media tell the US of A's population that 'Russia is evil'

So now the results are, 18% cite “Russia” today, which is 3% more than the #2-cited threat, “North Korea,” cited now by 15% (which had been 16% back in 2011, when the top-cited threat of all was then Iran, at 25%, which is now cited by only 9% of Americans, as being America’s “greatest enemy.”

More detail here; http://www.gallup.com/poll/181568/americans-increasingly-russia-threat-top-enemy.aspx?version=print

From the information above I'll give you another example of how this works. Look at the 'We Hate Iran' trend. Now look at the 'We Hate Russia' trend.

For those of you who are a bit slow, as the "You will hate Russia" storyline is fed to US citizens, the "You will hate Iran" storyline is reduced, probably because of 'too much to think about' reasons. Remember, this is scientific propoganda looking at changing the populations opinions on 'percieved threats'. Smile

Now, some external proof, if you live in the US of A, you may have noticed your Congress having a panty wetting experience with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Here's Salon on the experience....

"This was a gross spectacle.
Where to begin? How about the section in the beginning where Netanyahu, patronizingly, delivers a history of the Iranian regime and its sponsorship of terrorism and insurgency against Americans in the region. Excuse me, but we don’t need to be told, by a foreign leader, how Iran has treated the United States. And then this: “Don’t be fooled. The battle between Iran and ISIS doesn’t turn Iran into a friend of America.” Again, thanks, but we’ll figure out our foreign policy for ourselves."

Now, getting back to my point, Israel is 'annoyed' that the US propoganda is focused on Russia, rather than Iran, because Iran is what Isreal wants the US to take out, for 'whatever' reasons.

Check the poll results for "Who the US hates today" to confirm this.

That post was for the thinking world, for our US audience...

TL:DR - USA,USA,USA.........

Fun facts about Israel and Iran.

When Iran was at war with Iraq, guess who provided the Iranians with intelligence on Iraqi positions?
Name a middle eastern country with the highest Jewish population after Israel and Turkey...
And here's the one that gets me.
Look at the casualty count every time the IDF and HAMAS goes at it. Do you ever see any one other than low ranking military/militants or civilians on that list?
Both sides have the resources and the know how to wage a proper war, killing off each other's leadership
yet they are content to just blowing away innocent people. Why is that?
Take a good look at exactly who those innocent people are and think about it for a second and after your stomach gets through turning, then you've probably figured out why to my question.
I used to be one of the brainwashed Israel could do no wrong, then I ran into a Palestinian Christian that rattled my perspective. I started digging into things for myself and what I got was a very ugly picture.

Netanazi.... Yeah that clown has the republicans in this country wrapped around his little finger. It seems they are more loyal to him and his bunch than they are the American People.
In fact, if you say one thing critical of Israel, they do their best to cover their ears and call you an Anti-Semite. Forget the conservative mantra of fiscal responsibility and questioning government expenses as far as Israel is concerned. You do that with Israel, and all the sudden you're either a neo-nazi or an islamofascist sympathizer.
Yeah, they'll cut off support for our own veterans and working poor, but they'll give Israel literally anything they want.

Yeah cousin, look at the Israel/Palestine dog and pony show - oops conflict - a little closer.
You'll find that Israel and Iran going to war is about as likely as Zimbabwe starting a Mars mission.

Quote from Racer X NZ :Todays post is pointing out how deceitful* New Zealand is in it's claims that "New Zealand stands up for small states".

That one got us our UN Security council seat.

If you live in the Pacific, we spy on you and give all this information to the US.

To quote our PM (The Teflon John) Mr Key said it was "bizarre" to reveal details about intelligence at a time when New Zealand faced a terror threat. "We've got the situation where we've Isil reaching out to cause harm to New Zealanders."

He said he would not reveal details of intelligence but said it was done for "really, really good reasons".

I feel it's only right to point out to the rest of the world that 5 Eyes (NZ, AUST, UK, CANADA, USA, and Super Secret partner ISRAEL) spies on all communication, generally for economic reasons.

Have a happy day Smile

* This has been public domain in NZ for over 20 years, but people like to pretend it doesn't happen.

Hate to bust your bubble, but EVERY country with the exception of maybe Togo and Guyana spies on everyone.
And they kinda have been ever since they became countries.
What you should be worried about is if they all the sudden stop spying. Cause then that means something REALLY bad is going to happen.

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :Usually all the weed mellows them out though.

We were on a boat....They kinda frown on that.
LOL So was that it? Weed withdrawals? Made them bounce around like that?
I learned something interesting about the French language from the couple from Quebec.
Most of the US, myself included, didn't realize that the french speaking population was more than just Quebec. LOL How come we don't hear about the Manitoban separatists?
I had been taught to believe that the French Canadians and the Cajuns spoke the same Acadian French. They don't.
Apparently the French in Novia Scotia speak more like Cajuns than anyone else and those dialects are still very different.
And then the woman told me in France (she used to work there), they started doing like what we do to the English language and are Bastardizing it.
Yep. Fun facts about France from Canadians drinking Italian beer while in the Carribbean. God I love boat rides.

A couple of weeks ago, we went on a vacation. My wife and I went on a seven day cruise in the western Carribean. Did all kinds of cool stuff. Saw Mayan Ruins... Zip lining in a rain forest... snorkeling.
Saw McAffee's House in Belize. YOu'd think he's a had a real nice place. I've been in crack houses that were nicer.
Anyways this boat was full of Canadians. From BC to NB. People from all over Canada. On the ship, we tended to hang out in the Cigar lounge. That's where I got to meet a lot of Canadians. You people are crazy!
Glad to see y'all ain't all like Dawes. Wink
I met an older couple from Quebec. The dude's French Canadian of Irish Descent... and turned me on to an Italian beer. But these two girls from British Columbia.... Man. One of them ripped my shirt open and she would take selfies... Weird selfies. You know how women tend to go into the restroom as a group?
She waited til one girl was in a stall doing her thing and she'd run in and jump in their lap for the photo. You only saw their heads. The look of the girl going to the bathroom was priceless

There was a nightclub looking lounge right next to the cigar lounge in the ship. We were louder and rowdier than those people. And I don't think they liked it much. The people were always lowering their eyebrows at us when we left the lounge and cut through their area. Anyways, the Canadians made that vacation.

Garlic may interact with a number of medications.....

Blood-thinning medications....

Another thing I've heard is Garlic seems to help with High Blood Pressure. Blood thinning I guess. Not really having a conscience, I don't worry about high blood pressure, But I can see how that works. I think I've also heard it being recommended for Hypertension.

You know, as Big Pharmacy continues to crank out narcotics for illness both real and imagined, I imagine we'll be seeing more food stuff interfering with medications.

Quote from Wenom :I think you are a difficult individual dfgjkl. I invited you to my home. You refused. That it very, very rude. I guess we can never be "comrades." Do you understand? I wanted to be a friend of yours. I offered you everything I could possibly give. And you single handedly ignored and refused my proposal. That is not good. Not one bit.

I'll be your friend.... do you have bail money?

Of course I am. That why I know the chick car is a chick car. Now get the panties out the crack of your @sses.
GHeesh what a bunch of whiners. Always wanting this stupid scirrocco. And when I get tired of y'all kicking a dead horse, droning on and on and on and on and on and on about the same econobox (There I didn't call it a chick car. Did that help with your whiny sensitivities?) I state the simple fact I think the car sucks and I'm the trouble maker....
Yet you go on and on about wanting it and it's all good. I bet y'all talk to counselors and analysts a lot - huh?

Quote from Breizh :To be perfectly anal, they weren't actually communists. That's semantics; yet the rest of it's the same.
You could go there, and see how a lot of what's reported by the "news media" - which is what the bulk of western people IE what the western electorate bases their votes on IE which way the wind blows for western govts to tack with - is not even wrong, because ultimately those people are human beings too.

And yet, despite those serious misconceptions, which obedient minions like asdasfsd over here will use against you like the well-trained sophists they are, the bottom line doesn't really change. Putin & co are thugs. And the bottom of the pyramid is no more defendable: when you have them following you around as soon as you enter the country, and you actually find them looking thru your sock drawer in the middle of the night in your hotel room... The propaganda just doesn't seem so compelling. Never mind when you see what it's like for the locals themselves.

That capital flight and general emigration ain't happening for no reason. And they can point at the failures of the USA and the West in general all they want. That's just truism. All countries are more or less that way, and all politicians are crooks. The truth of the pudding is in the eating. ASasdasdsfd and his colleagues just have no idea and ultimately IMHO that's one of the most tragic things.

They don't even know how wrong they are. Zombies.

To be perfectly anal, they weren't actually communists. That's semantics; yet the rest of it's the same.
Who are they? The current people in charge of things in Russia? Or Ortega and his bunch?

"That capital flight and general emigration ain't happening for no reason."
Uh yeah.... that's how I've met Russians and Estonians and Georgians and... you get the idea.... LOL A lot in Las Vegas.

they can point at the failures of the USA...
Yeah. I can do that all day long all by myself. It's funny when the greasy little foreign kids do it like they have a clue about what's really going on here.
Like I said, I could go on for days about my own country. The real complaint that bothers me at the moment is Obama dragging his feet on IS. I don't care what anyone thinks about whatever conspiracy what they think about Islam or what they think about the West. These people need to be taken out of the picture.
We need to give King Hussein whatever he thinks he needs to wipe these psychos out.

The more things change....

LOL I noticed he left out "Imperialism" and "Capitalist pig".

I froze my nuts off in the Cold War. I remember the Duck and Cover drills in Grade school. Yeah, we really had those. What I really remember about communism are the Sandinista scumbags and what they did to a few people I know.
After the "war" ended, I got to know a few folks from the former Warsaw Pact countries and the Soviet Union. I like those people. They're cool with everybody - except themselves.
I never understood though why the new rift. I would think that Russia would've joined NATO by now. Especially looking at the way the country was headed during Yeltsin. And then Putin and Bush becoming Blood Brothers... What the hell happened?
